Prof.Dr. Abdulkadir Koçer

Dr. Abdulkadir Koçer is well known and respected Neurology doctor specializing in algology, clinical neurophysiology and vascular neurology especially rehabilitation. He is very interested in dry needling and nerve blocks in pain treatment.
He was director of Neurology department, Medical Faculty, Istanbul Medeniyet University. Dr. Abdulkadir Koçer draws on over 20 year experience in helping patients with conditions relating to pain, neurodegenerative diseases and vascular neurology.
As a specialist in the field of algology (pain science), Dr.Koçer assists patients with a wide range of symptoms such as headache, neck and back pain, shoulder pain etc. His practice emphasizes treatment for any type of headache and other types of pain including both medical and other interventions such as dry needling and nerve blocks.
He also possesses experise in vascular diseases of brain. In addition, Dr. Koçer’s practice offers evalution and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases i.e. Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinsonian diseases. After graduating from Marmara University Medical Faculty in 1992, Dr. Koçer completed specialized training in neurology at PTT Teaching Hospital and in electro-diagnostic neurology at the Medical Faculty of Marmara University.
Dr. Abdulkadir Koçer is board certified in neurology, as well as algology, clinical neurophysiology and vascular neurology branches.
A member of the Turkish Neurological Society, he is also a member of Turkish Neuromodulation Society.
In his leisure time, he enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife and two children, watching movies, playing football and driving.
